Just got back from a fabulous trip to Peru with my husband and good friends. Our goal was to see the ancient Inca ruins of Machu Picchu. It was definitely worth the effort! The ruins were amazing, the architecture was incredible, but the mountains surrounding the site…well the picture doesn’t do it justice. I’ve been to the Colorado and Canadian Rockies, Denali in Alaska and the Swiss Alps, but the Andes are so very different. We visited Machu Picchu, Cusco, the Sacred Valley and Lima. The Peruvian people were wonderful, warm and gracious. Put this one on your bucket list!
